Free Christmas Trees!

Salvation Army aims to make Christmas merry for everyone

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A nursery in Cleveland donated about 300 Christmas trees to the Salvation Army Ohio City Corps.

The lot is open until 8PM tonight. Anyone wishing to pick up a free tree may do so before closing time.

The classes offered rage from introductory sessions for beginners wanting to learn the basics of using a computers to sessions for the more experienced user in creating and using an email accounts, creating resumes, online job searching and for those wanting to familiarize themselves with Microsoft programs like Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.

Summary
Responsible for the scheduling of the physical inventories at all JAS store locations. Primary contact for stores and inventory service on resolving any physical inventory issues.

Scope:
Average Store Inventory Value = $500k
Inventory Service Expense = $4.0 - 6.0 million
Physical Inventory = over 750 stores

Essential Responsibilities
Coordinates the scheduling of all physical inventories for the over 750 JAS store locations.
Including providing inventory information to the field, contacting outside inventory services (WIS, RGIS) and maintaining departmental databases.
Assists stores in resolving any physical inventory issues on the day of inventory, including any research and resolution with field personnel, other JAS Departments and the outside inventory services.
Assists the Physical Inventory Department by performing the following tasks: Check in and review PI packets from stores. Review for completeness and compliance, Clear final posting errors, Updates to SAP PI dates and PI History dates, Reconciliation of 5-8 store per month.
Prepares special shrink analysis as requested by the field.
Participates in review of store PI procedure. Updates PI Store procedure manual and forms.

Education Requirements:
Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent required
Preferred: Associates Degree

Experience
  • Minimum: 3-5 years professional office / store / warehouse experience
  • Other Skills or Certifications
  • General PC Skills Required (i.e.. Excel, Word, Access)
  • Dimensions/Competencies
  • Strong Communication skills required in order to effectively handle the store issues and being able to effectively communicate with Store Team Members as well as Inventory Service Representatives.

Job Description
Basic Function:
Responsible for food services at assigned site. Heat and prepare meals for children, washing dishes and utensils.

Responsibilities:
• Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Secretariat for Catholic Charities Health and Human Services.
• Heat and serve meals. Ensure meal substitutions for children with documented allergies or medical conditions are available and adhered to. Assist in preparation of food as needed.
• Wash and clean all dishes, tables and other utensils; sweep and clean under eating areas daily.
• Maintain food service area and keep refrigerator, stoves and microwave clean and free of clutter at all times.
• Wear a hair net and apron at all times while on duty.
• Attend nutrition meetings and other trainings as required.
• Complete a food monitor form and submit to office weekly.
• Take temperature of refrigerator and food at least once a day and record on temperature control sheet.
• Provide nutrition education experience for children.
• Assist teaching staff in maintaining staff/child ratios as needed.
• Obtain Standard First Aid, CPR, Communicable Disease and Child Abuse Training and keep undated every three years; administer first aid as needed.
• Participate in fire, storm and tornado drills when present; attend at least one site meeting per quarter.
• Participate in the recruitment of children for the Head Start program.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or directed.

Requirements:
• Combination of education and experience normally represented by a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in food service and human services setting preferred.
• Medical statement signed by physician or certified nurse practitioner required.
• Parent (Past or Present) with knowledge of Head Start and desire to succeed preferred.
• Must be able to relate and work well with Supervisors, Staff, Children and Parents.
• Must have good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse economic, cultural and administrative background.
• Good working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Final applicant is required to be fingerprinted to complete background check.
