Computer skills are essential to finding, obtaining and retaining employment. It is increasingly more probable that you will have to use a computer to find and apply to open position. Even in jobs that do not require you to be proficient with computers to perform your day to day duties, once on the job you may have to clock-in and out, submit timecards, or receive important employee information using a computer. For these reasons a basic understanding of computer hardware and software, especially word processing and email, is important.

The Cleveland Public Library is currently offering FREE computer classes so that you can increase your marketability in this job market!! The classes offered rage from introductory sessions for beginners wanting to learn the basics of using a computers to sessions for the more experienced user in creating and using an email accounts, creating resumes, online job searching and for those wanting to familiarize themselves with Microsoft programs like Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint.
