Responsibilities: 
Responsible for the preparation of all foods using a variety of equipment and utensils according to the daily prep list; readied for line service in accordance with McCormick and Schmick’s established recipes.
• Responsible for all food preparation including but not limited to the preparation of soups, sauces, vegetables, meat and fish cutting, dessert and pastry work. 
• Complete opening and closing checklists in a timely manner. Refer to daily prep list at the start of each shift.
• Understands and complies consistently with our standard portions, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules. 
• Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems and product shortages to chef. 
• Use standard recipes for preparing all products. 
• Maintains the walk-in refrigerator, stocks food inventory deliveries and rotates food inventory. 
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station. 
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the chef. 
• Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills with co-workers. 
• Function as a supportive team member during the course of their shift. 
• Position requires regular, reliable attendance.
