Collect admission fees and payments for goods and services. Render information and assistance to Zoo visitors in a pleasant and courteous manner. Assist in the coordination of reservations for all qualifying groups, including schools, tour companies, youth organizations, and pre-arranged groups, to increase the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo's community support and earned revenue.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Operate computer-based ticketing system to record fees from admission as well as other points of sale throughout the Zoo.
Provide quality customer service and ensures accurate point of sale transactions.
Count and verify revenue. Verify balances by comparing system totals with revenues.
Organize information for and provides assistance to groups and individuals purchasing or picking up tickets.
Perform receptionist duties; operating telephone system, greeting guests, processes outgoing mail.
Keep supervisors informed of financial and informational needs.
Conducts visitor surveys.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Pleasant, friendly disposition.
Demonstrated high math aptitude.
Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.
Ability to work days, weekends, holidays, and evening hours as scheduled.

The Guest Services Division is seeking applicants for Tram/Rides Drivers. This position is responsible for performing safe, courteous and effective operation of the Zoo trams and Boomerang Line Railroad Train. Drivers must obey all safety standards and guidelines and provide exceptional customer service to Zoo visitors in a friendly and personable manner.

Tram/Rides Drivers must perform daily maintenance and safety checks on Zoo Trams and/or Boomerang Line railroad train and complete daily written safety/maintenance check reports; clean the Zoo trams and/or Boomerang Line railroad train daily and perform general cleaning of tram/train washing area; provide information and exhibit locations to Zoo visitors regarding special events or activities; act as host/hostess at tram/train service stops and safely assist visitors boarding/departing and with personal property (including wagons, coolers, wheelchairs, etc.).

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Valid Ohio Driver's License
Demonstrated ability to perform variable physical outdoor labor in normal duties, i.e., lifting of 50 lbs and pulling/pushing various equipment or objects.
Must be willing to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evenings as required.

TITLE: Operations Specialist - Food Services
PAY RATE: The salary for this position is $25,000 - $50,000.

FUNCTION:
The Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD), serving approximately 50,000 students in grades Pre
K-12, in January 2010 announced the launch of the most far-reaching transformation plan in its history to dramatically improve the quality of educational programs for CMSDs students. An important key to the success of the District's plan is the creation of a high level Office of Food Services within the Operations Division that will administer the districts food and nutrition programs.

We are seeking to hire an Operations Specialist who will be responsible for staffing school-based staff and assisting with the daily operational functions. This role will report to the Operations/Point of Sale Manager. This individual will effectively interact with food service personnel, and school principals and employee services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receive calls from Food and Child Nutrition cafeteria employees who are reporting absent and assign substitute employees as needed.
Assist with prescreening, interviewing and recommending potential candidates for open positions.
Assist with coordinating needed repair and maintenance of inoperable food service equipment.
Data-entry of Food and Child Nutrition Services cafeteria staffing information into database.
Maintain employee job assignment files.
Assist with daily needs of Operations/POS Management Area including answering phones, filing, correspondence and copying as needed.
Coordinate bag lunch requests for all school field trips and other school related activities.
Assist with coordinating necessary action for cafeteria staff in the event of power failure.
Respond to parent and cafeteria staff questions regarding operational procedures.
Assist with staffing requirements for Summer program.
Implement District and/or Board of Education policies and procedures
Attend District functions and/or meetings as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree preferred.
Possess and effectively utilize experience in task areas associated with position.
Minimum of three years experience in district or five year experience outside district to include expertise of staffing.
Possess and effectively utilize above average organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer applications including Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel Access, and Lotus Notes.
Ability to set priorities of work to be completed and coordinate many activities simultaneously.

SUMMARY
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Determines space requirements and position of shipment in trucks and lays out position of shipment.
May determine routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits of states.
Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded truck doors.
Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
Maintains vehicle maintenance reports.
Directs movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas.
Compiles records of unfilled orders.
Posts weight and shipping charges.
Prepares bills of lading.
Issues written and oral instructions.
Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
Maintains harmony among workers and resolves team issues.
Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
Adjusts errors and complaints.
